You only get one chance to make a first impression and it starts with secuding potential buyers online with listings photos.  Buyers quickly dertermine their interest level based on the photos they see, therefore you want to make your house shine online. In addition to hiring a professional photographer to capture the best angles in the best lighting, here are some simple tips how to prep your house for the photoshoot.

1. Turn on all lights, espciall in darker areas such as hallways. Display only statement wall art and remove small framed photos and wall decor.

2. Clean your windows and open shades to allow for natural light to come in.  Natural light fills the room. Dirty windows will detract from the overall look of your home in photos.   

3. Groom your houseplants to make them look healthy and vibrant.

4. Remove counter clutter to showcase more counterspace. Hide the toaster, cooking utensils holders, knive block and unsightly drip coffee makers.  Less is always more in showing kitchens.

5. Polish all appliances and floors.  Polished and clean appliances create an overall well maintained and clean feel which will photograph well.  Additionally, polished floors look much more easthetically pleasing and welcoming.

6. Polish bathroom mirrors and countertops. All toiletries should be hidden including soap, shampoo/conditionar bottles, razors, toothbrushes and skin care products. 

7. Try to make your bedding look fresh and crips and remove extra throw blankets and toss pillows.
